Ross Lynch and R5
Better Together

Chapter 5
I woke up at 8 to my alarm clock. I had two hours before I was going to meet Ross and I needed to get ready. I picked out my favorite shirt, a white baggy t-shirt and my black sequin shorts. I curled my hair a bit and put on a little bit of makeup. By the time I was done it was 9:30 A.M. I grabbed a bite to eat before I left at 10. I knocked on Ross’ front door and an older boy with blonde hair opened the door. He greeted me by saying, “Hi! I’m Riker, Ross’ brother! You must be Mariah! He hasn’t shut up about you since he got home. Come in!” I stepped into his house and was greeted by three other people; a blonde girl who was older, a brown haired boy who was also older looking, and a boy with sand colored hair. They introduced themselves as Rydel, Rocky, and Ryland. Ross came into the living room and we left. I got into his yellow mustang and we were off. The first stop was the school that I would be attending in a month. We walked the grounds. He grabbed a basketball from his car and we played one on one. After a half hour he won. We were laughing so hard because on the winning point he dunked the ball and hung there making funny faces at me. He jumped down and tapped my shoulder. I turned around the see him running away and yelling TAG! I chased after him and finally got him. It was his turn to tag me. I ran away the best that I could but he got me. He grabbed me from behind and hugged me. I was so tired from all the running and basketball that I laid down on the turf field. He followed and laid next to me. I could feel him starring at me. I turned to see him starring at me. He leaned his head over and our lips touched. After a few seconds of kissing he grabbed my hand and rolled on top of me. We continued kissing for a minute until he got up. We went back to his car and started to the next destination. It was almost lunch time and I was getting hungry!

Chapter Four
I concluded that I needed to move on from Logan. I looked at Ross and knew that I wanted him. Once I determined this leaned in and kissed Ross again. When we broke away I looked into his beautiful brown eyes and smiled. I asked him what there was to do here and he answered that Huntington beach wasn’t too far and it was a lot of fun. He said, “If you want I can show you around a little tomorrow and then we can go to the beach for a while.” I agreed and we made plans to meet at his house at 10 A.M. With that Ross left and went back to his house. He offered to stay while I called Logan to break up with him but I said I would be alright. I called Logan and he said, “Hey babe! How was the move?” I answered, l
“Hey! We’re over!” and hung up. Logan called back 5 times but I didn’t answer. I was done with him and I had already moved on. It was already 11 when I went to bed but I was so excited to see Ross tomorrow!

Chapter Three
I was caught off guard by what Karissa said next. “Logan cheated on you.” I was totally speechless. I had caught him flirting with other girls but I would never have though that he would cheat on me. I was so hurt that I began to cry with regret and sadness. Karissa was trying to calm me down by saying that I could start fresh in Northridge without him. I agreed but the regret was still there. No one knew that the day before I left Northridge, Logan persuaded me to “give it up” to him. Since it would be the last time we would see each other for a long time I agreed. Now just two days after giving him everything he cheated on me with another girl. I was so hurt by this that I began to cry. I hung up the phone and started hysterical crying. All of a sudden I felt arms slip around my waist and hug me from behind. The arms released me and turned me around by my shoulder. I faced Ross. He hugged me again and I could see my face in the dressed mirror. My mascara was running down my face. After 5 minutes I had calmed down enough to talk. Ross asked me what happened. I said, “My boyfriend back home cheated on me.” I started to cry again as I said it. We were sitting on the bed and he pulled me into another hug until I had calmed down again. He said, “I don’t know why anyone would cheat on you. You’re the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life.” He kissed me on the forehead and gave me another hug. All of a sudden he got up off the bed and grabbed makeup wipes out of one of the boxes. He sat back down and wiped off the mascara running down my face. Ross said, “I know that if I was your boyfriend, I would never cheat on you.” With that he tilted my head up by my chin and kissed me softly.

Chapter Two

While we were walking, Ross started to talk to me. He said, “So, why did you move here?”

I answered, “My dad got a promotion and we had to move here for his job.” He asked me some other questions as we walked and I answered them to the best of my ability. When we entered my house my mom was still unpacking in the living room. I introduced her to Ross and she said hello. I told her that he was going to help me hang my curtains upstairs and I grabbed a box to bring up. I led Ross upstairs to my room.

He stated, “Wow this is a big room but it’s so empty!” as he walked in. The room had been painted turquoise before we moved in and I actually liked the color so I decided that I would just leave the color. I went over to the unopened box on the floor that contained my window coverings and pulled them out. The shades were hot pink and the curtains were the same. I instructed Ross on how to hang up the shades and curtains. He immediately started to hang them. I bent down to grab a shirt from a box to hang up and I could feel someone staring at me. I turned around to see Ross staring at me. When I looked over we made eye contact after which he looked right away. It was like I had caught a child stealing a cookie from the cookie jar before dinner. He started to work right after that. After about an hour he had gotten the curtains and shades on both of the windows. He sat on my bed and waited for me to finish unpacking the box that I was working on. Once I finished I walked over to the bed and took a seat next to him.

Once I had sat down he asked, “So do you like it here?”

I answered, “So far its pretty good, but I miss my friends from Westchester.”

He responded, “Well I know that you will make a lot of friends here. Did you have a boyfriend back home?”

I reluctantly said, “Yes.” Ross was a very attractive boy and nice too. I could totally see myself dating him. I thought back to my boyfriend Logan. He was the captain of the varsity basketball team in my old school. We had known each other since kindergarten and had only been dating for a month before I had to leave. That month was full of ups and downs. We would argue a lot because he was always flirting with other girls and he was always partying. I had told my best friend back home, Karissa, to keep me updated on what Logan was doing. As I was thinking about this I realized that things between Logan and I would never workout because I’m on the other side of the country and I have no way of seeing him. As I thought this my phone buzzed from the other side of the bed. Ross handed it to me and it was a text from Karissa. It read, “Hey Mariah! I hope the move went well! Call me when you can I have news.” I turned to Ross and asked him if it was okay if I called my friend. I would be done in a minute. He agreed and waited for me on the bed while I called Karissa. She answered right away. All she said was I have some bad news.

A Ross Lynch Fanfic

Chapter One

Today was my first day in Northridge, California. My family had to move here for my dad’s new job. He got a promotion but it required him to move from Westchester, New York to Northridge. It was so unfair that I had to move right before I started my junior year of high school. I had lived my whole life in Westchester. I wasn’t the most popular girl in school but I had good friends and people liked me because I was nice to everyone. I had only had one boyfriend in my life. We are still dating now, even though I’m all the way across the country.

“Mariah, go unpack some of your room before we go out to dinner!” my mom yelled from the living room where she was unpacking boxes. I ran to the living room to get some of the boxes for my room so I could carry them up to my new room. I brought all of them up one by one. My dad had a new bed and dresser set up in my room when I got in it. I had never been in my room before so I decided to look around. There was one window facing the pool outside and the other window faced the house next door. I checked out the closet next. It was a walk-in closet just like my dad had promised me. I opened the first box that I had brought up and found that it was my window coverings. I needed a drill to put them up so I went downstairs to find my dad. He said that he hadn’t found the drill in any of the boxes that he unpacked yet. I needed to put up my window shades and curtains before tonight because I was going to be sleeping in my room. My dad suggested that I go over to one of the neighbor’s house to see if I could borrow their drill. I decided to go to the house that I could see from the window in my room. From the street I could hear some music emitting from the house. I walked up to the door and knocked. I had always hated going to people’s house uninvited but I really needed the drill. After the second knock I could hear someone coming. The door swung open and a boy about the same age as me with bleach blonde hair stared back at me. I had been so caught up in his beautiful brown eyes that I forgot what I went there for.

He said, “Hello?”

I said, “Hi, sorry, I’m Mariah, I just moved here from New York. I was wondering if you had a drill I could borrow to hang some things in my room”

He replied, “Hi Mariah, I’m Ross. Nice to meet you, I was wondering who was moving into the house next door. I think we have a drill but I’ll ask my brother. Hold on.” He left and I stood at the door waiting. I could hear some talking and after a minute Ross came back with a drill. “We have a drill but I was wondering if I could help you hang the things you need. I know how hard it is to move and I think I can help you with the drilling.” He said with a smile.

“Sure that would be great!” I remarked and we started to walk back to my new house.
